The G3 introduced DNN 360 directionality. The G4 moves to a multi-network architecture and adds the DNN Dual Compressor, plus an Edge Mode that can run automatically instead of on demand.

Is the G4 a dual-chip hearing aid?

No. Starkey integrates neural processing into one chip rather than adding a second one, and argues that keeps latency lower and battery life longer than a two-chip design.

Which hearing aids use the G4 chip?

The Starkey Omega AI+ family, at all three levels: the 24, the 20 and the 16. Omega AI runs the earlier G3, and Edge AI runs the G2.

Does every Omega AI+ level get the same chip?

Is DNN in Hearing Aids Real Technology or Just a Buzzword? Definitely Real.

Traditional hearing aids use rules. Noise coming from the sides? Reduce it. Sound above a certain volume? Turn it down.
